Junior Winter Competition 2019

Hi All

Believe it or not it is time for Junior Tennis players and parents to think about playing in the 2019 Winter competition.

I am just starting a recruiting drive to bring Junior Tennis teams back to the Campbelltown Tennis Club.  The Campbelltown Tennis Club courts are located in Emery Road at Campbelltown.

I would like to hear from Juniors who are aged between 8 and 17 years of age who are ready to play competition or those who have been playing in the Junior competition and would like to move to seek opportunities at another club.

As the Junior Co-ordinator and Club Coach, I plan to organise a free Junior training night during the Winter season in addition to the Group and Private Coaching lessons at reasonable prices that are available by arrangement.

Junior Winter Competition – information

The Winter season will commence in late April or early May with matches played during school terms to be followed by the finals for the top four teams in late August or early September.

The format will probably be the same as last year with Divisions 1 to 5 for the Boys and Divisions 1 to 3 for the Girls to be played on Friday nights starting at 6 pm and all other divisions to be played on Saturday mornings.

The modified Orange and Green ball competitions for the younger beginners are also played on Saturday mornings.

Junior matches are played at the same venue – within the Eastern suburbs – each Saturday.

There probably will be no Split times on Saturday mornings so these matches will start at 8.30 am..

The teams in the modified competitions – Orange and Green ball  - may be Boys and/or Girls in the team but there is a separate competition for Boys and Girls in the other divisions.

The Winter teams will play with two to three players in each match.

There are usually less teams in Winter so it likely there will be less divisions than during the Summer season.

It has been a few years since Campbelltown have entered Junior teams so I thought I would set my recruiting drive in motion early so that I can organise a list of Campbelltown Junior players for Winter giving me time to nominate our Junior teams to EDTA.

I know it is early but could you please register to play Juniors by return email so that you can be added to the list of Campbelltown  Junior players for Winter.

There are vacancies at all Junior levels so you can forward this email to your family and friends.

New Players are welcome.
