Midweek Singles Competition

The Midweek Tennis Doubles competition has been running for almost a year now with Series 5 due to commence on Tuesday 17th October. You can enter your team or as an individual by return email.

If doubles is not your game I am proposing a Midweek Singles competition for those who would like to get more out of their Tennis workout.

VENUE – The Hectorville Tennis Club – a division of the Hectorville Sports & Community Club (HSCC) - at the Daly Oval in Fisher Street at Magill

WHEN – Wednesday nights starting at 7.30 pm during term 4

COST - $10 per player per night
To cover competition costs – balls, awards etc

PROGRAMME – 6 to 8 weeks of matches depending on the number of entries
commencing on 1st November 2017
Unique points system to reward results
Premiership table weekly
With 1 or 2 weeks of Play Offs
& a reward(s) for the Singles winning Player

TEAM FORMAT – A Separate competition for Men & Women is proposed
Singles Players to find their own reserve wherever possible
The Competition is aimed for Adults
However higher division Juniors may also take part

MATCH FORMAT – 1 Singles rubber to be played in the match
With a Best of 3 sets Format
The first two sets will be a traditional set with a 7 point Tie break to be played at 6 games all
with a
Super Tie break (10 point) to be played - if the Singles match is at 1 set each – instead of a traditional 3rd set
